Saturday, May 28th the whole Utah gang flew to sunny Seattle for a day before our ship left on Sunday.
After dropping our luggage at the Marriott Waterfront at the Wharf, we walked to Ivar's for late seafood lunch. Rana, Kent, Ken, Rod and Steven are waiting around.
Luncheon at Ivar's. Tori, me, Rod, Steven, Amy, Linda, Ken, Rana, Tanya and Kent. Rod and I shared Oysters Rockefeller and they were delicious.
Ken took us to Pike's Market through a back alley that we had never heard of and to our delight, it was an alley full of gum. Multitude of people over the years have pasted their gum onto the wall and it has created the most interesting art.
And because I like to spit my gum to anywhere and everywhere, this was my kind of alley. Look at my happy face while I was pushing my gum into the window.
Tori also left her mark.
Linda threw her gum onto the window sill.
Tanya, Rana, me, Tori, Kent, Ken and Linda at Pike's Market.
Tori, Rana and I marvel the beautiful and inexpensive flowers.
Linda and Ken sampled some of the fruit. Looking at Ken's face, it seems that he didn't like the apple.
It was a mad house inside the market.
There was a baseball game (Mariners vs. Yankees) on Saturday night in Seattle and Kent, Tori and Rod decided to go to it. I had no interest and neither did Rana (Rod's secretary), so we ventured to the fan store to buy them tickets. Here Rana is showing how she is such a great fan of Seattle Mariners, not!
Because we are such great fans of the saying:"Let's just walk to it, it is right there" (you might have missed our walking adventures to the Eiffel Tower in Paris a couple of years ago), we decided to walk to the Space Needle. I think it ended up being little over a mile long walk but we are young and able, right? Tori, Kent, Rana and Rod in front of the Space Needle. We didn't go in because there was such a huge line and the game was starting soon.
