Zija Alaska Cruise - Day 7 - Victoria, B.C.

We cruised all of day 7 until we got to Victoria, B.C around 7pm on Saturday night. We were baffled, why it took so long to get there. Just looking outside and seeing that we were possibly going about 5 miles an hour, all day, made us mad that we didn't have more time in the beautiful city of Victoria. The sun was setting, the stores were closing and drunken people were out in hoards by the time we got there.

This cruise ship passed us!! What!! Step on it, Captain!

Rod in Victoria harbor and the Fairmont Empress hotel in the background.

Same spot

Us and that building

The Empress hotel. We were going to have high tea there but then decided to go get root beer float and some dessert, instead.

So, on the grounds of the Empress hotel, there were these beautiful and huge Azalea bushes and I wanted Rod to take my picture with the flowers. Instead, he zoomed in and you can hardly see the flowers.

Then I said, where are the flowers after looking at the picture.

This is where I roll my eyes at him for missing the flowers from the first pictures.

And then I can't do anything else but laugh at him. Silly Rod, the photographer. He blamed me for losing his photography talent because he used to take all the pictures before. Who is telling him not to carry a camera at all times? Not me. Have at it Rod. Anytime.

Good-bye Victoria. Now, let's go eat. Who's in for the dessert plate at midnight?

Our ship at night.

Lovely pictures, Marja. I can hardly believe it's been almost a decade since we were all in Victoria together. You would have loved the tea service--the guava tea is divine.
