Riitta's 50th Birthday in Las Vegas

My sister Riitta and her fiance Sampsa flew to Las Vegas on June 16th for a week to celebrate her 50th birthday. We wanted to tag along for a weekend of fun.

Sitting side-by-side we got our toes and feet fixed.


We joke about Riitta's toes that she can never stand in one place too long because somebody might come and park their bike between her toes, that's how huge of a gap there is between her toes.

All done. So pretty. Ready to go shopping.

While Rod went golfing, Riitta, Sampsa and I went shopping at the outlet stores. The day was very successful for them.

Sampsa wanted to go to the Motley Crue, Poison and New York Dolls concert on Saturday night. It was held at the Red Rock Casino in Summerlin. I got tickets, and we all went.

I didn't recognize very many songs all night. I wish I had brought a book, but people watching was priceless so that compensated the fact that how bored I was.

Tommy Lee is strapped into his drumset and he goes on a rollercoaster ride while playing his drums. Pretty amazing.

After the concert we went to the Venetian hotel to get a bite to eat before going to bed. I think it is June 19th in Finland so HAPPY BIRTHDAY RIITTA!!!

Birthday celebrations are serious business. Whatever you do, just don't smile.

Sunday, June 19th:

We drove to Hoover Dam at 10am so it wouldn't be too hot. It was hot, still. +35 C in the shade.

It was super windy. I almost lost my hat.

Went to visit the Dam store. Rod found some alien glasses.

Kippis! We headed to Aria for brunch. Sampsa and Riitta are drinking champagne to celebrate the 50th in good fashion.
