Zija Alaska Cruise - Day 1

Day 1 of our cruise started still in Seattle until mid-day, so Rod and I hopped out of bed early and walked to Starbuck's for breakfast. We walked along the wharf enjoying the glorious morning.

View to the other side of Seattle.

Rod and the whole city of Seattle in the background.

Yes, we just woke up.

We met everyone at the hotel lobby around 10am and we got on the bus on the way to the cruise terminal.

Linda and Ken are getting checked in.

After checking-in, we had some time to relax and wait for our turn to get on the ship. Kent is looking for the 40 Japanese Zija distributors who we were meeting this morning. Tori is probably texting her kids back at home.

Steven and Amy's first cruise. They are excited. Rod's texting...as usual.

Our home for the next week

We got on the ship and headed straight to the food. Kent and Tori are enjoying the relaxing time with the Larsen's.

Then it was time to do the Muster demonstration. Here Rana is demonstrating how to put on the life jacket correctly in case of an emergency. She gets an "A". She would definitely survive in the frigid waters of Alaska.

Our cabin neighbors on the other side, Russ and Bobbie from Florida.

Rod saying good-bye Seattle.

Our cabin neightbors on the other side, Steven and Amy. Steven brought the coolest hammock that he had made himself and hung it on their balcony.

First dinner together with all of the Japanese people. They flew in from Tokyo this morning and were probably totally jetlagged. Rana and Tanya are enjoying their dinner together.

Mr. and Mrs. Kamijima. Such beautiful and nice people. Hopefully we will go see them next spring when Sakuras are blooming.
