The Essence of Norway

My Mother's Day was so great, once again. I didn't have to lift a finger. Even though our traditional "breakfast in bed" didn't work out this year because we had to go to Ali's homecoming at 9am, I got breakfast, nonetheless, at the kitchen table...and it was yummy. The dinner didn't work out either until Monday night, but that was all prepared again by Rod and Alex. Great steaks!

For Mother's Day I requested to receive a bundt pan (can you believe I didn't have one!), and one of my all time favorite perfurmes "Laila", or as the bottle promises, it is the Essence of Norway. Next time when I go to Norway (not just the airport bathroom), I expect everything to smell like Laila.

Now I can bake like crazy with my new pan, and while doing that, smell like Norway.

You seriously didn't have a bundt pan?! How did you make that tear bread? Did you borrow? I just had Bill get me a second one a month ago because that recipe makes two pans, and I always screw it up if I try to half the recipe. So now we make two pans and share!!! You should be a neighbor!:)

Happy late Mother's Day! And way to go Alex and Rod on the meals! I am very impressed!

I will have to smeel the perfume. Make sure you wear it the next time we see you so I can see what it smells like on someone! Love perfume!

I LOVE my bundt. I wish you two many happy bakings.

Essense of Norway, when I think of Norway, I think of fish. I am sure it doesn't smell like that?

Mmm. Have you ever had the chocolate cake that is made with sour cream. All it needs is a sprinkle of powder sugar on it. It's a bundt cake, of course, and sooo moist and delicious. You must try it.
