So many people camped out overnight to save their spot, we set up our blanket on Sunday night and it was there still on Monday morning.
It was a little chilly morning so Alex was wrapped in a warm comforter.
Carsen got there so the boys were comfy and cozy on the blanket.
We had a perfect spot to watch the parade. Katie is sitting in the back, perfectly in the shade.
The highway patrol lined up nicely to perform their tricks.
"Thank you for being modest" was the quote of the day, yelled by a college student guy next to us.
Snoopy?
Utah Provo missionaries.
Llamas. Rod said that in the perfect parade, the bag pipers would be riding the llamas. If you have forgotten Rod's special love for bag pipes and llamas, now you know what a perfect set up would be.
Scottish bag pipers.
While they were playing, Katie was telling a story about when she was in high school and she used to dance to the bag pipe song...
and here she is, demonstrating the dance. When Carsen saw her dance, he was so embarrassed and said:"I don't think I can call you my mother!"
We took Alex, Jake and Kimmo to Jump-on-it in the afternoon and they had a great time jumping on the trampolines. When we picked them up after an hour, all three of them were just soaking sweaty messes. When I asked Kimmo later, what has been his favorite thing he has done during this trip, he said that the trampolines and then Seven Peaks.
We had a farewell dinner at Ruby River and after went to get some ice cream. We still had a big box of fireworks so when it got dark, Alex and Kimmo started the fireworks show.

Love the pictures! I love the picture of the missionaries. So fun! I miss coming to that parade. Maybe when my kids are a little older we will go camp out. That would be an adventure.:)
Wow. The Provo Parade and Mardi Gras have so much in common.
Mainly that people yell stuff from the street and camp out over night to get a good spot.
And ... okay. That's all they have in common.
