Larsen's European Vacation - Day 4 - Jyväskylä

We left London for Finland early Monday morning. After a short 3 hour flight, we arrived in Helsinki. With a short 2 hour layover in Helsinki we flew to Jyväskylä where our friend Petri was waiting to pick us up and take us to my mom's house.

Just arrived in Helsinki. The boys on the bus to the terminal.

Alex's first Finnish treats: Jaffa and Pantteri. He is a happy boy.

Rod looked exhausted. He also had his favorite treat: Tupla

A short 30-minute flight to Jyväskylä. Alex looks on when Jake is doing who-knows-what.

My mom had "uunijuusto" waiting for Alex, and I think his face tells you what he thought of the dish. He is SO happy.

After our little snack at mom's house, we had to go get our favorite fast food, TAKSARI. It is basically fried sausage and fries with mustard, ketchup and relish. Here the boys are waiting to get their dinner. Yes, the "Grilli" is right by a very busy street...and across the street from the city cemetery.

Jake doesn't know what to think of this mess.

Alex is savoring every bite.
After walking around the city for a little bit, we returned back to mom's house to rest and relax.
It is good to be "home".
