Friday Night Proposal

We went to dinner at Sundance last night with Katie and Steve. We had such a fun time discussing politics (touchy subject), health care, and sports. While Katie, Steve and Rod were discussing these favorite subjects of mine, I was paying attention what was going on in the next table.

Katie showing how much she loves us.

Steve is happy to be eating trout.

Rod is contemplating who is going to win tomorrow...BYU or Utah.

Then it was time for dessert.

I could have gotten this beauty but it was all chocolate and I'm not a fan of chocolate desserts.

Apple pie looked good, too, but I was not in the mood.

YES!!! Bread pudding with banana and chocolate chip. That was my choice. You know, if there's bread pudding on the menu, I'm having it.

So, while we were having dinner and dessert, this young couple was having their own little proposal party. I couldn't help but hear what they, or he, was saying and after she received the ring, the guy (from Peru) said to his now fiancee:"You are so beautiful and I love you, but now you are more beautiful with that ring on." And she ate it up (am I being sarcastic?) It turned out that the couple MET 2 weeks ago, and now were getting engaged. I started wondering if the dude needed a green card that bad. Well, I wish them luck, but it seemed like they were strangers to each other.

On Saturday I was telling Alex: "Can you believe the couple got engaged after 2 weeks!" Alex coolly responded by saying:"Well, you got engaged after 5 days!" I guess I shouldn't judge, huh.

I can't cast any stones either.

Looks like you had a great night - dinner and a show!

Maybe it wasn't the dude who needed the greencard, but the girl who has always needed a ring! Sounds like you had a great evening.
