The Audacity of Denial

I went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner last night with my Finnish friends, Riikka and Terhi. At the end of the meal, I denied myself the following:

This...

And this...

Well, this is a no-brainer...I don't like chocolate desserts

But this one was hard. I still said "no".
I was strong and walked away from the restaurant with joy in my heart and in my stomach.

I would have said yes to at least three of those desserts. I LOVE chocolate and cheesecake. MMMMM.

Yummy desserts! I love them! They are so difficult to say no to. I congratulate you for your strength to be able to do it. You really have to let me know how you get fantastic pictures on your blog.

Do they really look that pretty? I don't know if I could eat them because they are too pretty to eat. They do look delicious though. The first one makes my mouth water. YUUUMMMMM!

I'm proud of you. But are you serious - YOU don't like chocolate desserts????? Man, I wish I had your problem. It isn't a dessert to me unless it contains chocolate. I would eat the strawberry cheesecake and then still need a chocolate fix after I was done.
