We went to see the Ski Patrol guys up in Sundance with cupcakes in hand to thank them for a great job that they did with Rod a week ago. One of the ski patrol guys, Jim (in red in the picture) told us that he had seen such a huge gash once in his life, and it was in a book. He also told us that Woody (the other guy) had burned his jacket in the process of helping Rod. The Life Flight helicopter guys couldn't find the landing spot so Woody had to light a flare and when he did that, his jacket caught on fire.
Jim also told us how impressed he was about Rod how concerned he was of Alex. And how Alex was taking care of Rod and the collision site to make sure that nobody skied too close to it.
Jim thought after seeing the picture of Rod's leg that it looked like a shark bite. Maybe we should change the story how this actually happened...

I would totally change the story!!! That sounds much cooler than a crash on the mountain...except they both sound pretty cool. Glad that Rod's okay.
