My best friend, Kristine, came to visit us this weekend from Spokane, WA. Even though this was a serious trip for Kristine...she had her eyes and eye brows re-touched (permanent make-up) we had time for some of our favorite things. If you know both of us, you might guess that it is shopping. Well, that being right there on top of the list, but actually it is to eat. When Kristine came over around 9pm on Thursday night, we headed to CPK for our favorite dish: Thai Crunch Salad. When we walk in, we don't even need menus; we always order the same thing. At Friday lunch time we hit this really cute Bistro in Highland, UT called "Dear Lizzie". They make fabulous desserts, and Kristine had only one of them....a cupcake with delicious frosting and silvery dots on it. I had a bite....or two. After lunch, we picked up Alex from school and drove to Park City for some serious Christmas shopping. We have a tradition that after shopping we always go to Loco Lizard for some hot Mexican food. Alex ordered his favorite dish: tamales. Kristine her molé enchiladas, and I ordered chile rellenos. Delicious!
It was so much fun to have Kristine visit us. We always have such a good time when Kristine comes to visit. She couldn't stop laughing, though, when we told the story about Rod and the llamas. We love you Kristine! Come back soon.

Sounds yummy. It's always nice to have your BFF in town!
That was such a nice post to read! Thank you so much for 2 fabulous days. It was so much fun to hang out with you, shop and eat our favorites. A Dear Lizzy cupcake would be so good right now. Oh, and THANK YOU for the sound machine! Greg asked me if I slept okay and I said, "Well, let me tell you what Marja had for me!" What a thoughtful touch--so I could have, as Alex would say, ambiens. Until next time. . .
